RTEM Models for COVID-19

As part of the project, we are developing an RTEM model for COVID-19, beyond a simple homogenous mixing model, in a way that accommodates for tests with varying fidelities and delays underlying a rapid testing regimen. An RTEM model for COVID-19 requires a fine resolution characterization of the disease and population, including age groups, exposed and asymptomatic, exposed and roaming, self-aware of exposure, tested (different modalities), being tracked, isolation/quarantined, isolation/home, treated, recovered, and released. What is critical is that such a model must be coupled with multi-fidelity observations that comes from different testing modalities, along with with demographic, social connectivity, and mobility data for a more complete rapid-testing planning. The outline of the model is sketched below. We will soon make the RTEM model downloadable — stay tuned. In the meanwhile, click on this link to test-drive the model.
